Oklahoma Food Dude’s Watermelon Lemonade​

That’s OFD Watermelon Lemonade — a splash of hand-squeezed lemons, a crush of sweet watermelon, and a drizzle of local honey that’ll make your taste buds do the two-step. Served up ice-cold and garnished with a wink of mint, it’s your new favorite way to beat the heat.
OFD Watermelon Lemonade — Because Regular Just Ain’t Right.

​Ingredients:

4 cups fresh watermelon (cubed, seeds removed)

1 cup fresh-squeezed lemon juice (about 4–6 lemons)

½ cup Oklahoma honey (or adjust to taste)

2 cups cold water

1 cup ice cubes

Optional: a pinch of salt to deepen the flavor

Fresh mint or basil for garnish

Lemon and watermelon slices for garnish

Instructions

Blend the watermelon in a blender until smooth. Pour through a mesh strainer into a pitcher to remove pulp (optional for a smoother lemonade).

Add lemon juice and honey to the pitcher. Stir well until the honey is fully dissolved.

Stir in cold water and ice. Taste and adjust sweetness or tartness.
